How do I configure my Firewall for CrisisGo?
CrisisGo requires access to specific domains, URLs, and network services to communicate properly with CrisisGo servers. Your organization's network or IT administrator may need to allowlist these connections within your firewall, web filter, proxy, or other network security tools.
Firewall Configuration
Please ensure that CrisisGo traffic is not blocked or restricted by your organization's firewall or network security settings.
- Firewall Requirements (K12 Edition)
- Firewall Requirements (Business Edition)
- Network Diagnostic Tool
Allowlist Requirements
Add the required CrisisGo domains, URLs, and ports to your organization's firewall or web filtering allowlist.
If your organization uses additional network security or content-filtering services, such as a proxy, SSL inspection, or URL filtering solution, CrisisGo traffic may also need to be permitted within those services.
Important: Changes to firewall and network security settings should be completed by your organization's IT or network administrator.
After Making Changes
After updating your network configuration, restart the CrisisGo application and test the connection.
If CrisisGo continues to experience connectivity issues, your IT administrator may need to review the network configuration to determine whether CrisisGo traffic is still being blocked or filtered.
Run the Network Diagnostic Test
CrisisGo provides a Network Diagnostic Test that can help identify network connections that may be blocked or restricted.
The test must be run on a Windows PC connected to the network you are testing. For the most accurate results, run the test from the same network where users are experiencing issues.
- Download and open the CrisisGo Network Diagnostic Test on a Windows PC.
- Run the test while connected to the affected network.
- Review the results for any failed connections.
- If any tests fail, work with your IT or network administrator to confirm the required CrisisGo connections are allowed through your firewall or network security tools.
